Welcome to Malvasia Pane Cunzatu & Restaurant, a hidden culinary gem nestled in the enchanting surroundings of Vulcano, Italy. This restaurant is an ode to the simplicity and richness of Sicilian flavors, serving delightful dishes that showcase the essence of local ingredients. Located at Via degli Eucaliptus, Malvasia offers a serene ambiance away from the bustling center, making it a perfect escape for food lovers seeking an authentic experience.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the pane cunzatu, a traditional Sicilian bread topped with a variety of fresh ingredients. Diners frequently rave about the crispy bread paired with exquisite vegetables, fish, and meats—delighting both palates and senses. The extensive menu includes options for meat lovers, vegetarians, and even gluten-free diners, ensuring that everyone can savor the charm of Vulcano's culinary offerings.
Customer reviews paint a picture of gastronomic joy at Malvasia. Lorna Bösel highlights the amazing taste derived from simple yet fresh ingredients, while Thuy Anh Dao emphasizes the crispy bread and expertly cooked swordfish. The welcoming staff further enhances the dining experience, creating an inviting atmosphere where guests feel valued and appreciated.
Wine enthusiasts will find solace in the delightful selection of Malvasian wines. It's a must-try for anyone visiting, as the wines beautifully complement the dishes served. For a touch of authenticity, guests should embrace the local capers—a true standout in the array of flavors offered at Malvasia.
While some dishes may have minor adjustments for perfection, like the occasionally overcooked tuna steak mentioned by Vlad Dinu, the overall experience remains overwhelmingly positive. Portions are generous, and the stunning presentations of dishes promise a feast for the eyes as much as for the taste buds.
In summary, Malvasia Pane Cunzatu & Restaurant is not just a meal; it’s an experience steeped in tradition, taste, and tranquility. If you find yourself in Vulcano, make sure to reserve a table in advance and indulge in the captivating flavors of this delightful restaurant.

Crunchy bread with fresh ingredients on top. Sounds simple but tastes amazing. You have many choices from fish to meat or vegetarian and they also offer gluten-free bread. The place is quiet (not directly in the center)and lovely decorated. I totally recommend a visit.

Great restaurant with good food and nice service. The bread is so crispy and top with fresh salad, the swordfish is also well executed. We had an amazing dinner with friendly staff (might need reservations in advance since they are full). Must come back next time!

A nice experience, very good selection of wines and the food was very nice. The tuna steak was a little overcooked, but won't affect the rating.

First time trying the cunzatu, it's like a salad on a big toast or an uncooked pizza. Quite good and filling, you do not need to order more than one for lunch! The venue itself is a little remote but really nice with the terrace. Worth paying a visit if you are in the island for a day.

Pane cunzatu is like a huge salad on toasted crust. Perfect to reload batteries after a hike on the nearby volcano. The location is a 10 min walk from the harbour but totally worth it. Very cozy and friendly.
